ဓမၼပဒ(၃) စိတ္ The Mild
(၃၃)ကာမဂံုအာရံု၌တုန္လႈပ္တတ္ေသာ၊ အာရံုတစ္ခုတည္း၌ မတည္တံ့ႏိုင္သျဖင့္လွ်ပ္ေပ့ါေသာ၊ ကာမဂုဏ္အာရံုသို႕မသြားေအာင္ ေစာင့္စည္းႏိုင္ခဲ၊ တားဆီးႏိုင္ခဲေသာ
စိတ္ကို (ေလးသမားသည္ ျမားေကာက္ကို တျဖည္းျဖည္းေျဖာင့္သကဲ့သို႕) ပညာရွိသည္
သမထ၊ ၀ိပႆနာဉာဏ္ျဖင့္ တျဖည္းျဖည္း ေျဖာင့္ေလ၏။
(33) Just as a fletcher straightens an arrow shaft, even so the discerning
man straightens his mind- so fickle and unsteady, so difficult to guard and control.
(၃၅) ႏွိမ္နင္းရန္ခဲယဥ္း၊ အျဖစ္အပ်က္အလြန္ျမန္ဆန္၊ မ်ိဳးႏြယ္နိမ့္ျမင့္ သင့္မသင့္ကိုခ်င့္တြက္မရွိ ေတြ႕မိေတြ႕ရာ ကာမဂုဏ္၌က်ေရာက္ေလ့ရွိေသာ စိတ္ကို ဆံုးမျခင္းသည္အလြန္ေကာင္းျမတ္၏၊
ဆံုးမ၍ ယဥ္ေက်းေသာ စိတ္သည္ ခ်မ္းသာကို ေဆာင္တတ္၏။
(35) Wonderful, indeed, it is to subdue the mind, so difficult to subdue, ever swift, and seizing whatever it desires. A tamed mind brings happiness.
(၃၆) ျမင္ႏိုင္ရန္အလြန္ခဲယဥ္း၊ အလြန္သိမ္ေမြ႕၍၊ မ်ိဳးႏြယ္နိမ့္ျမင့္သင့္မသင့္ကို
ခ်င့္တြက္မရွိ ေတြ႕မိေတြ႕ရာကာမဂုဏ္၌ က်ေရာက္ေလ့ရွိေသာစိတ္ကို ပညာရွိသည္
ေစာင့္ေရွာက္ရာ၏၊ လံုျခံဳစြာေစာင့္ေရွာက္အပ္ေသာ စိတ္သည္ ခ်မ္းသာကိုေဆာင္တတ္၏။
(36) Let the discerning man guard the mind, so difficult to detect and extremely subtle, seizing whatever it desires. A guarded mind brings happiness.
(၄၂) ခိုးသူတစ္ေယာက္သည္ မိမိကိုျပစ္မွားလြန္က်ဴးဖူးေသာ ခိုးသူတစ္ေယာက္ကို ျမင္သည္ရွိေသာ္
သို႕မဟုတ္ ရန္သူတစ္ေယာက္သည္ ရန္ဘက္တစ္ဦးကို ျမင္သည္ရွိေသာ္ အက်ိဳးမဲ့ဖ်က္ဆီးျခင္းကို ျပဳရာ၏၊ (သို႕ရာတြင္ ဤတစ္ဘ၀တြင္သာျပဳႏိုင္၏၊)
ယုတ္မာသျဖင့္ ရန္ျငိဳးထားေသာစိတ္သည္ကား (ခုဘ၀၊ ေနာင္ဘ၀တို႕၌ အက်ိဳးေပးတတ္သျဖင့္) သာ၍ပင္ အက်ိဳးမဲ့ဖ်က္ဆီးျခင္းကိုျပဳႏိုင္၏။
(42) Whatever harm an enemy may do to an enemy may do to an enemy, or a hater to a hater, an ill-directed mind inflicts on oneself a greater harm.
(၄၃) နတ္ခ်မ္းသာ၊ စ်ာန္သမာပတ္ခ်မ္းသာ နိဗၺာန္ခ်မ္းသာကို မိခင္သည္လည္း
မေပးႏိုင္၊ ဖခင္သည္လည္းမေပးႏိုင္၊ ေဆြမ်ိဳးတို႕သည္လည္းမေပးႏိုင္၊ ေကာင္းစြာ
ေစာင့္ေရွာက္ေဆာက္တည္အပ္ေသာ စိတ္သည္သာလွ်င္ မိဘေဆြမ်ိဳးထက္ပိုလြန္၍
လူ၊ နတ္၊ နိဗၺာန္ သံုးတန္ေသာခ်မ္းသာကို ေပးႏိုင္၏။
(43) Neither mother, father nor any other relative can do one greater good than one’s own well-directed mind.
ဓမၼပဒ (၄) ပန္းတရားေတာ္ Flowers
(၄၉) ပ်ားပိတုန္းသည္ ပန္းပြင့္ကိုလည္းေကာင္း၊ အဆင္အန႔ံကိုလည္းေကာင္း မပ်က္စီးေစဘဲ ပန္း၀တ္ရည္ကိုသာစုပ္ယူ၍ ပ်ံသြားေလေလသကဲ့သို႕၊ ရဟန္းသည္ ျမိဳ႕ရြာ၌ လူတို႕၏သဒၶါတရားတည္းဟူေသာ ပန္း၊ ဥစၥာတည္းဟူေသာ အဆင္းအနံ႕ကို မထိခိုက္မပ်က္စီးေစဘဲ ပစၥည္းေလးပါးတည္းဟူေသာ အရသာကိုခံယူ၍ က်င့္ရာ၏။(49) As a bee gathers honey from the flower without injuring its color or fragrance, even so the sage goes on his alms-round in the village.12
(၅၁) လွပတင့္တယ္၍ အဆင္းသာရွိလ်က္အနံ႕မရွိေသာပန္းသည္ အနံ႕မၾကိဳင္မလႈိင္မလႈိင္သကဲ့သို႕၊ ေကာင္းစြာေဟာအပ္ေတာ္မူသည္ ့ပိဋကတ္သံုးပံုတည္းဟူေသာ ဘူရားစကားေတာ္သည္ ရိုေသစြာနာျခင္း၊ သင္ယူျခင္း၊ က်င့္ျခင္းမရွိေသာသူအတြက္ အက်ိဳးမရွိ။
(51) Like a beautiful flower full of color but without fragrance, even so, fruitless are the fair words of one who does not practice them.
(၅၂) လွပတင့္တယ္၍ အဆင္းလည္းရွိလ်က္ အနံ႕လည္းရွိေသာပန္းသည္ အနံ႕ၾကိဳင္၍လႈိင္သကဲ့သို႕၊ ေကာင္းစြာေဟာအပ္ေတာ္မူသည့္ ပိဋကတ္သံုးပံုတည္းဟူေသာ ဘူရားစကားေတာ္သည္ ရိုေသစြာနာျခင္း၊ သင္ယူျခင္း၊ က်င့္ျခင္းရွိေသာသူအတြက္ အက်ိဳးမ်ားစြာရွိ၏။
(52) Like a beautiful flower of color and also fragrance, even so, fruitful are the fair words of one who practices them.
(၅၃) လိမၼာေသာပန္းသည္ သည္အထူးထူးအျပားျပား မ်ားစြာေသာပန္းပြင့္အေပါင္းမွ
ပန္းကံုးမ်ားစြာတို႕ကိုျပဳရသကဲ့သို႕ (လိမၼာေသာ)သူသည္ ဥစၥာတည္းဟူေသာပန္း၊ သဒၶါတရားတည္းဟူေသာ ပန္းအစုမွ ေက်ာင္း၊ သကၤန္း၊ ဆြမ္း၊ ေဆး စေသာမ်ားစြာေသာ ကုသိုလ္ေကာင္းမႈ တည္းဟူေသာ ပန္းကံုးတို႕ကို ျပဳရာ၏။
(53) As from a great heap of flowers many garlands can be made, even so should many good deeds be done by one born a mortal.
(၅၄)စႏၵကူးပန္း၊ ေတာင္ဇလပ္ပန္း၊ ၾကက္ရံုးပန္း စေသာပန္းတို႕၏ အနံ႕သည္ ေလထက္၊ ေလညာသို႕ မပ်ံ႕မလႈိင္၊ သူေတာ္ေကာင္းတုိ႕၏ သီလတည္းဟူေသာ ဂုဏ္သတင္းရနံ႕သည္ ေလညာသို႕ပ်ံ႕ႏွံ႕ၾကိဳင္လႈိင္၏။ သူေတာ္ေကာင္းတို႕၏သတင္းသည္ အရပ္ေလးမ်က္ႏွာသို႕ ပ်ံ႕ႏွံ႕ၾကိဳင္လႈိင္၏။
(54) Not the sweet smell of flowers, not even the fragrance of sandal, tagara or jasmine blows against the wind. Truly, the virtuous man pervades all directions with the fragrance of his virtue.13
(၅၅) စႏၵကူးပန္း၊ ေတာင္ဇလပ္ပန္း၊ ၾကာပန္း၊ ျမတ္ေလးပန္းစေသာ ပန္းနံ႕သာတို႕ထက္ သီလလည္းဟူေသာအနံ႕သည္ အတုမရွိ ထူးကဲလြန္ျမတ္၏။
(55) Of all the fragrances- sandal, tagara, blue lotus and jasmine-the fragrance of virtue is by far the sweetest.
(၅၆) ေတာင္ဇလပ္ပန္း၊ စႏၵကူးပန္းတို႕၏အနံ႕သည္ အနည္းငယ္မွ်သာျဖစ္၏၊ သီလရွိေသာသူတို႕၏ သတင္းအနံ႕သည္ ထူးကဲလြန္ျမတ္၍ နတ္ျပည္ျဗဟၺာျပည္တို႕၌ လည္း ပ်ံ႕ႏွံ႕ၾကိဳင္လႈိင္၏။
(56) Faint is the fragrance of tagara and sandal, but excellent is the fragrance of the virtuous, wafting even amongst the gods.
(၅၈)ခရီးလမ္းမတြင္ စြန္႕ပစ္ထားေသာ အမႈိက္ပံု၌ အနံ႕ေမႊးၾကိဳင္၍ႏွစ္သက္ဖြယ္ရွိေသာ
ၾကာပန္းသည္ တင့္တယ္စြာေပါက္ေရာက္ေနသကဲ့သို႕
(၅၉)ထို႕အတူ အမႈိက္ပံုသဖြယ္ျဖစ္သူတို႕၏အလယ္၌ ဘုရားတပည့္ျဖစ္သူသည္ ပညာမ်က္စိမရွိေသာ အကန္းသဖြယ္ျဖစ္သည့္ လူသာမန္တုိ႕ကုိ သီလ၊သမာဓိ၊ပညာျဖင့္ လႊမ္းမိုး၍တင့္တယ္၏။
(58)-(59) Upon a heap of rubbish in the road-side ditch blooms a lotus, fragrant and pleasing. Even so, on the rubbish heap of blinded mortals the disciple of the Supremely Enlightened One shines resplendent in wisdom.
